Hello, my name is Pastor Doug Tankersley and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our web site. Most of our congregation simply call me Pastor Doug. I have had the pleasure of being senior pastor at East Fork Baptist Church since January, 2001. Our church can be best summed up as "a country church for the 21st century."

I was married to my ministry partner and love of my life, Glenda Brown of Henderson county, in August, 1981. We are the proud parents of a son, born to us in 1998, named Elijah.

I received my degree from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute. My beliefs are conservative. The focus of our ministry is to reach the lost for Christ, reclaim the unchurched, and educate the body of Christ. We are aware and prepared to help assist the needs that are prevalent to our society today.

Our church is centrally located, throughout beautiful Transylvania county, with a pleasant drive from Highways 64, 178 & 276. If you are in search of a place to call home or simply a pleasant worship experience during your visit; we believe that East Fork, will be the place you are in search of.
